Update #67
Dear Residents, Family and Friends of Maroba,
As many of you would be aware, the Premier announced at the 11am media conference that aged care will be opening up to 2 fully vaccinated visitors per day per resident from 11th October, 2021.
This is certainly great news, however, as yet Maroba has not received any official advice of the specifics around this statement or how it works in our region (which is still seeing high daily case numbers).
Please be assured that we have been planning our roadmap forward out of lockdown and our preparation is continuing. We will inform you as soon as possible about what this will look like and when it will occur as soon as we have the official advice and further details.
I ask that you please be patient with us at this time as we will need to have a measured approach to opening up so that we can avoid everyone turning up at our doors on the same day, and Maroba not having the resources to manage the demand, as well as increasing risk of exposures.
We continue to ask you to please be vigilant to the risks of contracting COVID-19 as the environment starts to change. Remember that older people are still at a higher risk of the effects of COVID-19, even with double vaccination, due to other possible underlying health concerns so we need you all to play your part to manage the risk when visiting your loved ones.
As always take care and we look forward to welcoming you back to Maroba and rolling out the red carpet.
Kind regards
Louise Adnum
General Manager, Corporate Services.
