Dear Residents and family members,
A little good news….2 of the residents in Waratah who first tested positive to Covid have today tested negative. Thankfully there are no new cases of Covid-19 in the Waratah suburb today.
Unfortunately, a resident in Jacaranda has tested positive with a Rapid Antigen Test, which means we are on high alert in The Lodge. We are waiting for the results of a PCR test to confirm the positive case. All residents in The Lodge (both BlueGum and Jacaranda) have been tested today using Rapid Antigen Testing and have returned a negative result. We continue to follow recommendations from the Public Health Unit.
Residents in Honeysuckle, The Hill and Nobbys have been RAT tested today as well, and all returned a negative test.
All families who have a loved one affected by Covid-19 have been contacted by the family liaison team with an update this morning. As mentioned previously, some residents, as their illness progresses, may exhibit symptoms which will be managed in consultation with each resident’s general practitioner. All residents continue to be assessed frequently throughout each day and night.

- All precautions including full PPE for staff continue and where possible Covid positive residents are supported to stay in their rooms.
