The Lodge Refurbishment

We are thrilled to announce that our highly anticipated refurbishment of the Lodge will begin on 17 March 2021 and the expected completion date is the 27 September 2021. The facility will receive a much deserved facelift after 28 years. The refurbishment will happen over several stages, which has been thoughtfully considered to offer our residents, families and staff the least amount of inconvenience and disruption. After a comprehensive tender process with the support of EJE Architecture, we have selected Collaborative Construction Solutions as our builder. They are well established and have extensive experience with construction in Aged Care.
We realise that residents, visitors and staff will be inconvenienced to some degree while we are in the midst of the refurbishment, and want to assure you we will be working closely with everyone to minimise the disruption to be best of our ability.
Our key objective is to enhance the lifestyle of our residents by providing more functional areas for social programs, gatherings and improved living and service environments. As Maroba is a vibrant community and receives lots of resident families and visitors we also wanted to provide a variety of options for enjoying your time at Maroba. We hope everyone will enjoy our new café and outdoor seating area, overlooking the children’s play area.
Another key focus was to offer a choice of suites across Maroba to meet people’s different needs and expectations. As we are including additional rooms we are renumbering all the rooms to achieve a logical sequence. As the existing lodge rooms become available we will continue to refurbish the rooms to improve our environment, so we can continue to provide quality care and services as the needs of residents increase.
