Maroba is in lockdown

Good morning family and friends,

A resident has tested positive to COVID19. The resident is now in room isolation and the Waratah suburb has gone into isolation.

Unfortunately, this means that we will be ceasing general visitation except for those designated family members who are providing resident care.

Residents in the Waratah suburb (except the covid positive resident) are free to move around their suburb.

Residents in other suburbs will remain in their suburbs and there will be no gathering for social or mixed activities in communal areas like the Junction.

All consenting residents of Waratah will be PCR tested Thursday 28 April and the situation will be reviewed early next week.

Please remain vigilant when out and about in the community and please seek testing if you have even the mildest of symptoms. Of course let us know immediately if you or a person visiting Maroba has a positive Covid test.

If you have booked an outing or excursion please call Maroba before collecting your loved one to discuss the nature of the outing and potential new risk factors.

We apologise for the distress and inconvenience this closure may cause, however it is necessary at this time to minimise any further spread within the facility.

Yours sincerely

Viv Allanson
