Hi everyone!
Hope this finds you all well! Please see attached our Social Engagement calendar for April. Here are just some of the exciting things happening for our residents this month:
- The continuation of our fortnightly Pet Therapy with Nikki and her beautiful pup Saxon
- Intergenerational Visits with Jesmond Public School (in he Junction you can spot the art we have been working on together)
- A formal Anzac Day Service
- Outings to the Waratah Shopping Village, Hexham Bowling Club and Heritage Gardens Nursery Cafe
- Gardening in the new Waratah outdoor area
- Cooking activities specifically designed for the resident to carry out the cooking process themselves
- Music concerts, as well as a professional pianist starting with us who will play for our residents once a fortnight
- Two new Spiritual Car activities – a weekly prayer group and an Art Therapy group
- A chocolate tasting activity (my favourite activity)
- Our monthly Manor Vs Lodge shuffleboard Competition
- Spiritual Care and Social Engagement have worked together to create a specific program for the Easter period (to be distributed to all residents closer to Easter)
Thanks everyone for your continued support. Please feel free to pop your head in on an activity at any time, or to join us if you’re able!
Have a wonderful April April Activity Program
