27 July 2022
Greetings, Family and Friends
As the number of Covid cases active in the community continues to increase and the current wave of Covid is anticipated to extend over the coming four to six weeks, at Maroba we are getting ourselves ready.
I invite you to attend a meeting with myself and the Maroba team where we will discuss our plans first hand and present the opportunity of becoming a Partner in Care. Details of the meetings are;
Date: Friday 29th July 2022
Times: 10am or 2pm. We are allocating up to an hour per meeting
Location: Maroba
Requirements: Negative RAT test on the day of the meeting, asymptomtic, a mask will be provided
Numbers are limited (given social distancing requirements) so you will need to RSVP on 49350300 with your planned attendance.
We would love to speak with any family members who would be interested in becoming a Partner in Care for their loved one. A Partner in Care is a person identified by a Maroba resident, or their representative, who they have a close and continuing relationship with, such as a family member or close friend. A partner regularly visits and provides care and companionship to their loved one. Partners in Care may provide support such as:
- helping with dressing
- sharing stories, food or other pastimes
- helping to practise exercise routines
The type of care provided will depend on the needs of the resident and the relationship with their chosen partner. We have some very successful Partner in Care arrangements in place currently and we are excited to be extending this program at Maroba.
We hope to see as many family members as can make the meetings, as together we can make a difference as we work through this current Covid challenge.
We appreciate your support and assistance in keeping the Maroba Community safe and well. If you require additional information, please call reception 49350300 during office hours or email enquiries@maroba.com.au.
Stay safe and well.
Yours sincerely,
Viv Allanson
